It’s not as easy as it sounds. But Chris Wooten knows practicing integrity, honesty and openness in his personal life means he has done the same in public office.
He’ll be open, accessible and accountable to you, the people he serves. Chris makes sure your voice is always heard in your state government.
Our people, especially our children, face the curse of opioid, meth, and prescription drug addiction. As a former law enforcement officer, Chris Wooten knows we’ve pretended for too long the problem doesn’t exist here. But it does.
There’s no magic solution to drug abuse. This fight is winnable. We must make sure we have enough men and women in uniform to find, arrest and prosecute drug dealers, as well as funding for effective treatment programs to lead people out of addiction.
This right is so important, our Founding Fathers enshrined it in the Constitution. Chris Wooten has carried weapons as a Marine and state trooper. He’s a proud member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and will stand guard over your constitutional rights.
Chris also understands gun ownership carries responsibility. We must continue to teach people, especially youngsters, gun safety.
Lexington County’s remarkable growth came with a costly price tag. It’s annoying to fight your way through congestion during peak driving hours. Chris Wooten feels your frustration when he’s behind the wheel, too. He knows we must avoid becoming the next Atlanta or Charlotte.
As your State Representative, Chris Wooten has worked with his state officials, local leaders, and community groups to devise better ways to get you where you’re going without all the hassle.
People in Lexington County already pay too much in state and local taxes. Chris Wooten knows that every dollar spent on taxes is kept from being spent locally. And that makes it harder for Lexington County’s economy to grow.
That’s why those who want to raise your taxes have heard a simple, one-word answer from him: “No!” In fact, Chris Wooten is committed to lowering taxes whenever possible to help local small businesses grow, expand and hire more workers.
Like you, Chris Wooten believes life begins at conception. That’s why he’s strongly committed to protecting the unborn so that they get the opportunity to experience God’s blessings of, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
